Yes, I do believe it’s finally SPRING! Sunny days, warmer weather, growing grass…… yup, lawn mower time! But don’t dispair, we’ve got some great information for you in this newsletter and the promise of one of the most wonderful cups of coffee you have ever enjoyed, if not THE most wonderful!

Important Reminders

Finally! The grass is greening, and even growing! Yes, I’m afraid it’s time to make friends with your lawn mower again. You will be bonding with it on a weekly basis for the next six months, so dust off the cobwebs, give it a little oil, top up the gas and take it for a spin.

If you are one of our lucky tenants who has lawn care provided, and also has a pet, please be sure to keep your pet’s waste picked up. Nothing ruins a lawn maintenance man’s day more than to be sprayed with pet poop!

The grass isn’t the only thing that is growing. Along with bulbs poking up their heads, we have weeds! Yes, I’m afraid so. Weeding will also, most likely, be on the weekly task list for those of you who have a yard.

Those properties whose owners scheduled a yard spring clean up, our crew will be finished up by April 11. If your home is on the spring clean up list you will receive notification by U.S. Mail and email giving you a service date range and reminding you to secure your pets and make your back yard accessable. Any questions or concerns with this, please contact

If you have any maintenance concerns for your yard or your home please CONTACT US! All maintenance concerns should be addressed to cc: In the SUBJECT line state: MAINTENANCE REQUEST. We really appreciate you helping us to help you keep your home in tip-top condition.

The Shocking Scoop on Dog Poop!

There probably isn’t a dog owner out there who hasn’t neglected to pick up their dog’s poop at some time or another. Whether it be in their own private yard, on a city sidewalk, or a hillside trail.

The following information may give you cause to think twice before leaving behind evidence of your pups poop. It’s not just about the unpleasant look and smell, there are much greater concerns at stake here:

Did you know our natural ecosystem can handle only 2 dogs per square mile? In urban areas, there are 125 dogs per square mile!

Why is that important? Because dog poop is the 3rd largest cause of water pollution!

Here’s a short ecosystem lesson to explain why scooping poop is paramount:

  • When the pooch’s poop starts to decompose, toxic bacteria seeps into the soil.
  • Poop carries dangerous pathogens! Just 1 gram of dog feces contains 23 million fecal bacteria.
  • Rain, snow, irrigation and humidity assist the disease, bacteria, and pathogens found in dog poop to leach into the soil, making its way into lakes, rivers and streams.
  • City water treatment systems are not designed to filter dog waste, so these diseases and viruses make their way into your drinking water.
  • According to the EPA, dog poop is as toxic to the environment as chemical and oil spills!

So next time you take your dog for a walk, or put him out in the yard to relieve himself, don’t forget your baggie, and dispose of your pet’s poop in an appropriate trash container.

Push and Pour – Coffee to skate by!

Tucked into the mixed use neighborhood of Garden City, a stone’s throw from the green belt across from White Water Park, Push and Pour has made their home in an unassuming building, maintaining an urban commercial appearance from the outside. Behind the glass garage doors, which in the summer will open to spill the creative studio/performance space into the street, is a welcoming environment with an industrial artsy look, skater influenced and perfectly fitting for the new residents and recreationalists who are revitalizing the neighborhood.

Owners Lucas Erlebach and Brennan Conroy are both skaters and grew up together in Boise. Together they have created a comfortable place to support, what Erlebach calls, “The Garden City Movement”. At Brennan’s suggestion Erlebach moved back to Boise from San Francisco in 2017 to enter into a business partnership that became Push and Pour. Push for skate boarding, pour for coffee, expressing a skater’s typical day, skate – drink coffee – repeat. Conroy and Erlebach have chosen to be a single roaster shop. They currently roast off location, 157 miles away in Hailey, Idaho. However, they fully expect to relocate their roasting operation onsite within the next couple of months. April 6 will be the grand opening of a photography show by Tal Roberts. Tal’s passion is photographing extreme athletes, mostly skate boarding and slopestyle skiing. Or as he puts it, “making pictures of his friends having fun”. Push and Pour will feature a new artist every three months. Live entertainment is on the drawing board for later in the summer.

Be sure to stop by Push and Pour to enjoy a cup of their splendid espresso or a pour-over. The decaf latte I ordered was deliciously full bodied, while at the same time smooth as silk and rich and creamy tasting. Quite the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!

Lucas and Brennan are generously offering our tenants a free cup of their daily French Press. Show them the coupon on our Tenant Resources page. This offer expires at the end of the month, so don’t delay – get over there right away!
