Mid Year Housing Summit Explores Findings from BSU Survey.

If you are adding to your rental portfolio or just starting to build one, the Boise Regional Realtors Mid-Year Housing Summit painted an optomistic picture of the future for the greater Boise area.

Results from a Boise State University telephone survey conducted in September of last year of more than one thousand adult residents of Ada, Canyon, and Owyhee Counties concluded with a strong majority of the opinion that the Treasure Valley is a wonderful place to raise a family, build a career and enjoy a high quality of life.

The survey explored why residents came to, or stayed in the Treasure Valley, their perception of quality of life, crime and safety, and housing affordability. It also addressed reactions to taxation, funding public transportation, affordable housing, and education.

With a typical commute time of 20 minutes and a bullish attitude toward economic growth in the valley, the overall consensus was one of an optomistic and content population.

Maintenance Updates

With July being our busiest month for tenant turnovers, the roofing and siding inspections got a little behind schedule. We expect them to get caught up in August. So if you ordered this inspection, look for an invoice in August or September.

Last month in our Tenant Newsletter we reminded tenants to keep up with the weeding and report any sprinkler issues to us so that we could correct them before lawns suffered too badly. We explained our Violation policy to those who have allowed the heat of the summer effect their productivity, especially in the area of yard upkeep!

Boise’s gourmet food truck Smoke & Thyme supported our VIT program (Very Important Tenant) by offering a generous discount to any tenant that ordered food during the month of July.

Mr. Mobile Lube extended their VIT $30 discount offer to our tenants – which effectively results in a free oil change! It can also be applied to any mechanical service.
